Our Process

Our process is transparent, efficient, and focused on delivering exceptional results. By emphasizing detailed planning and clear communication, we make the entire building experience smoother and more enjoyable for our clients.

Phase 1: Budgetary Guidance

The estimated cost range is provided to be transparent and accurate. We accommodate adjustments for any major changes, aiming to align expectations with our clients prior to progressing with extensive pre-construction planning.

Phase 2: Pre-Construction Services Agreement

Our team excels in close collaboration with clients and architects during project development. Pre-Construction Planning is key, with a detailed Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PSA) to define the project scope and costs. We require a retainer and bi-monthly billing system to ensure prompt and efficient planning.

Phase 3: Pre-Construction Planning

After the PSA is signed, we use this time to get a comprehensive picture of the scope of work, master materials list, production schedule, and all supporting documentation and applications required by your city and or county . This can include anything from getting a soils report ordered to finishing the cabinet layout of your kitchen to make sure the building process goes smoothly. During this time we fully develop a working schedule in a gantt chart, a materials list, and a bid price contract.

Phase 4: Contract

This defines three of the most important things to the client, The Scope Of Work, the Schedule of Payments, and Approximate Start and Completion Date, as well as all of the additional requirements made by the state of California for a home improvement contract. It is important that the contract is carefully reviewed and understood before moving forward, this is the part where the project starts getting exciting!

Phase 5: The Build

Project Management

Throughout the building phase all ordering materials, scheduling, oversight and coordination will be handled by our team. Concurrently, we will keep you up to date on progress and issues. We also take pride in making ourselves available to our clients regularly.

In-Process Changes

No matter how carefully we plan your project, often the client wants to make some changes along the way once they see what their project looks like in real life. We are prepared to accommodate any changes you may want to make. Our Contract will explain how costs associated with your changes will be handled, and our team will be present to execute these adjustments.

Phase 6: Project Completion

During this phase we will meticulously inspect the job site to ensure that the craftsmanship level has been maintained to our standards throughout the project. We will do a final review meeting with you to answer any questions. We will do a final clean up both within the project and anything on the property that we touched. We put together a USB drive to share comprehensive records describing everything from paint colors to appliance specs and pictures for records throughout the project. Punch list will be completed at the end of the scope of work to finalize our work.

Phase 7: 6-Week Follow Up

As the project progresses, we allow our clients time to acquaint themselves with their new home. We don't simply vanish after handing over the keys and final payment. After 4-8 weeks, we follow up with our clients to ensure that everything is operating smoothly. Our aim is for you and your family to relish your new home for years to come.
